Bill Green papers 1930-1989 [manuscript]

The Bill Green Papers consist of correspondence, financial material, newspaper articles, publications, souvenirs, and scrapbooks. The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, photographs, and scripts from WCAE broadcasts. The publications include issues local publications such as The Bulletin Index, The Pleasant Hills Patriot, and Town Talk. The correspondence includes letters from Lawrence Welk, postcards to and from Bill Green, war-time letters regarding Bills service and his support of American servicemen, and thank you notes from club patrons. The collection also contains programs and menus from the night club and advertisements, invitations and tickets.

Bill Green was the owner and operator of Bill Greens Terraced Gardens, a nightclub located at Route 51 and Lebanon Church Road in Pleasant Hills, from 1930 to 1952.
